DIY Coconut & Aloe Vera Hair Mask Treatment

  1. To Begin, you'll need 3 tablespoons of fresh aloe vera gel and 2 tablespoon of coconut oil. Coconut will the best for this treatment because it's such a light oil. In a pitch you can use olive oil
  2. Gently mix the aloe vera and coconut oil together to make a creamy, smooth paste.
  3. Apply the mask to your hair, starting at your scalp and pulling it through to the ends. If you get a little on your skin, no worries, you can use it on skin as well!
  4. Comb through with a wide tooth comb to make sure each strand is thoroughly saturated.
  5. Push all of your hair up into a shower cap or plastic wrap. Bonus points if you're able to sit under a dryer. If not, wrap a towel around your head to keep your body heat in. You'll want to leave the treatment on for about thirty minutes, the longer the better!
  6. Rinse the mask out of your hair. If your hair is finer, you may want to dilate shampoo and do a quick wash to remove any residue. If your hair is thicker, you can skip a wash and just go for leave in conditioner and style your hair as you normally would.
